    March 20 Program Keedysville Historical Society

    On Mon., Mar. 20 at 7 p.m., the Keedysville Historical Society will be hosting Dr. Steven Hatleberg, retired Wash. Co. physician and avid historian, who will present a talk on WW II in the Pacific. He will show colored slides taken by his grandfather who was a physician in the 41st Infantry Division. The slides begin with his training in Colorado and proceed to Australia, New Guinea, the Dutch East Indies, the Philippines and finally occupied Japan including pictures of Hiroshima two months after the atomic bomb was dropped.

    The meeting is at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 53 N. Main St. in Keedysville and there is parking to the rear of the church. The meeting is free and open to the public so please come and bring a friend. Light refreshments will be served.
