Enjoy A Self-Guided Driving Tour Of Washington County's Inns, Bed & Breakfasts and Guest Homes This Holiday Season

Visit Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Small Lodging Properties of Washington County proudly announce the first ever Come Inn for the Holidays tour. On Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 1-4 p.m., the public is invited to a self-guided driving tour of the inns, bed and breakfasts and guest homes of Washington County. Tickets for the event are $10 per person and include entry into the six participating small lodging properties, a gift and refreshments.

“The owners and innkeepers of our small lodging properties here in Washington County put a lot of work into their properties, especially leading up to the holiday season,” said CVB President Dan Spedden. “This tour gives the general public the opportunity to see the properties and appreciate their festive holiday decorations.”

The six participating properties are: Antietam Guest House, Sharpsburg; Inn at Antietam, Sharpsburg; Jacob Rohrbach Inn, Sharpsburg; Overlook at Antietam, Sharpsburg; Elmwood Farm Bed & Breakfast, Williamsport; and Inn BoonsBoro, Boonsboro. Maps will be available at each location and the Visitor Welcome Center on North Potomac Street in downtown Hagerstown. You can begin the tour at your location of choice and redeem your ticket for a holiday gift at the last stop.

Tickets must be purchased in advance either online at or at the Visitor Welcome Center located at 6 North Potomac Street in Hagerstown. Tour participants are also encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to any of the tour stops and it will be donated to the local Toys for Tots.

“We anticipate that this will be a very popular event,” Spedden said. “When you live near these kinds of properties, you don’t often have the opportunity to stay in them for lodging purposes and this gives you a glimpse into what great small lodging properties we have. They’re especially beautiful during the holiday season and this event gives the owners a chance to showcase that!”
