Hike Maryland Heights, Stone Fort Loop
    Harpers Ferry NHP
    10 am, Saturday, Feb. 17

Join Sierra Club of the Eastern Panhandle on this rugged, 6 ½-mile hike. Wonderful views; Civil War fortifications. Meet at the Visitor Center for Harpers Ferry NHP (off route 340) at 10 am; we will take the Park shuttle together and hike from the lower town of Harpers Ferry. Open to all adults and minors (with adult supervision) of adequate fitness level for a multi-hour hike on steep and rugged trails (includes a 1400 ft. climb). We will carry on in light rain or snow but cancel if heavy. Bring water, a bagged lunch, and snack if desired. Wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the terrain and weather. Hiking poles may be helpful. Although the hike is free, Park admission is required ($10/car or $5/person arriving by foot or bicycle, or Park pass). For more information, contact Chris Craig, 304-433-1260 or ccraig@laurellodge.com.
