We have recently had a major discussion on Trump and his possible collusion with Russia and it has been fairly definitive in linking Trump to colluding with the Russians in their emphatic interference in our elections. Now we have Trump, the "president", actually attempting to obstruct justice and influence jurors in the Paul Manafort trial through his, Trump's, current tweet yesterday. .

“This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!”

This was directed at the Manafort's prosecutors who under Muellers direction. This trial is about income tax evasion on 18 counts of violating tax and banking laws. It is a case based mostly on records of transactions with unsavory characters, some Ukrainian and Russian; and also with hapless vendors who did not know where the payments were coming from for their goods and services.

Here is why the tweet is obstruction: "That offense covers any attempt by someone to "influence, obstruct, or impede" the "due administration of justice." The key question in a criminal case is whether the individual acted with a corrupt intent." (CNN)

Trump is attempting to stop this trial and the "due administration of justice." That meets the standard above. The corrupt intent goes to Trump's fear of what the two Manafort trials will expose on the first issue of "Collusion." His firing of James Comey was the original act of obstruction because the implied motive from Trump himself was the Russian examination.

So where are the Republicans and why are they willing to let this megalomaniac batter and rape our Constitutional right to due process and the rule of law. Does not their country mean anything to them anymore?
