with email being a simple way to notify people of meetings such as the one i would have loved to have attended this past thursday- is there such a list or a way people can subscribe to being notified in a direct fashion? a victim's list so to speak. i'm not online every day/night and i sure would have liked to get a first hand listen to this meeting and any like it.we'd appreciate some feed back. ptousignaut@gmail.com

phillip, you can subscribe to this forum or to a particular topic if you want to. look at th bottom of whichever forum or topic youre interested in for the link.

i think he is talking about an email generator where someone can send out "action alerts"... an emailer that isnt tied to the forum.

I think the easiest way to get a lot of people to show up for a meeting- like last weeks- would be a poster board sign (like a yard sale sign) at the bottom of Mission Rd- or even the flashing sign from the firestation. So if someone hears about the meeting 2 days before it happens- they can quickly put marker to board and throw up a sign- "Crime Meeting- Jefferson Highschool" with the date and time. This way everyone would see it even if on short notice. (and if they don't have internet access they wouldn't be left out)

Don't forget, Mo3, we're dealing with a "Mountainwide" problem. A sign, if it's feasible, would be more effective at Blue Ridge Grocery or by the Mountain Lake Lodge Billboard on Rt9. These skidmarks(a descriptive term used with attribution to derricksonb)"commute to work" from from one Mt. subdivision to another.

the best place to post that info for all us "skidmarks" is the rt 9 va/wv border... right past the sweetsprings liberty.

B-27, Skidmarks does not refer to the commuters (of which I am one- S'Dale to Falls Church) but to the the ones committing the crimes on the mountain. "Skidmarks on the underpants of society" is the actual quote Willis should have used.

OOPS
And brown should have been the color font used in my statement. I suspect that there may be a number of derricksonb's type of "skidmarks on the underpants of society" who do commute to the city for nefarious purposes, but
I certainly didn't mean any of our board's users!!!
