One of our local Health Departments has begun posting restaurant inspection results on-line. The Berkeley C.H.D."s website contains the major violations of the latest evaluations performed by its Sanitarians. The link is:
http://www.bchealthdept.org/recent_food_inspections.html
It makes for an enlightening read and the site also provides the rationale for the evaluations so a layperson can put the results in perspective. Of course, the question begs: If Berkeley County can do this, why can't our own County??? Perhaps it's an inquiry worthy of passing along to our "powers that be"
In fact, I think [u]Shannondale and Beyond</u> would be more than pleased to "publish" OUR County's inspection evaluations in this forum. They are, after all, public records.
