This dog was walking down both the middle and side of the road. last I saw it, was at Gate 2 mailboxes where it ran up the enbankment. If this is the same one that animal control was called on maybe the owners should take a little more responsibility this time around. Not only for the dog but the poor unsuspecting person who might accidentally hit the dog.

I still want him. People have posted about him before, and I had him *almost* in my car once. Maybe it wasn't him, mine was down by the convenience store on my way home from the annual picnic.
Goldens are my fave-o-rite, not sure how I ended up with dachshunds.
Every.time.my.dog hits Mission someone picks him up, I don't know why someone hasn't gotten this one by now.

personality (dogality) differences I'd say.
Your dog obviously goes to people, this one seems to go away from them.
If I hit a dog I'm'a kill someone! Seriously.
I can only hit one animal once every 20 years. And if it's domestic, I may as well curl up and die along side it...

Yea, me too.
I hit a deer a few weeks ago, that ran away alive, and I still had to pull over cause I was crying. In fact, bawling. With the shakes and everything. I couldn't imagine hitting a pet.
And really...I don't like having to remove dead pets from the road either, so if you all could remove your own pets after you find them in the road dead, that would be great for my psyche. Thanks.

Same here. If I hit someone's pet I'd be done. However, if I take out any member of Bambi's family, it's going in my freezer.

:( coming home from walmart tonight....there were 2 dogs on the 340 exit ramp (to go West on 9) and I saw them...slowed down, flashed my lights at the on coming car...who didn't seem concerned....and hit one of the dogs.....of course we (me and my children) witnessed this. The dog limped off the road...(I screamed as I was looking in the rearview mirror) two of my kids bawled their eyes out the whole way home.
there was one car behind us, that had slowed, just as the car going the opposite direction hit the dog....I don't know if either car stopped....but I couldn't bring myself to go back.....3 kids, groceries, and nowhere to put 2 dogs in my car. I am just praying that their home was nearby, and they made a safe return and that the injured dog will be okay. (at least this is the story I keep repeating to my kids)
my youngest son couldn't even eat his dinner.
I am just thankful that I did not hit the dogs myself...that would have made it much more heartbreaking...they were in such a bad spot. They were running back and forth across the road playing...one was a white lab, the other a dark brindle pit bull (possibly)
sorry for the rambling
