Today's ad hoc litter pickup by a few of our BRILLO members yielded 7 bags of trash in less than a 1/4 mile area of Mission Road. We need everyone's support to help in the fight to keep our community clean. If nothing else go the West Virginia bottle bill site and sign the online petition. http://www.wvbottlebill.org

I missed this one completely. Where was it announced? Was it on the calendar?

No it was very impromptu so there was no time to advertise. I just wanted the forum members to be aware of the number of bags of litter being collected.

I thought about that after I replied. Maybe we need to settle on specific terminology? "Ad hoc" being less than a week's notice, "Impromptu" being no notice, just you.

Then the third one - the "Public Pickup" which is usually advertised for several weeks.

I believe it was in between Ad Hoc and Impromptu. I knew about it because we were out the week before.....
I will be doing small pick-ups in my area this week if the weather cooperates.

Are we doing another this Friday?? I think I can do it, but only if it is earlier then noon.

Just remember to leave lots of trash on Mission Road if we're still going to do a Big Pickup in a month.

I'm in for another pickup this Friday...weather permitting of course. Tina....PM me so we can figure out the details. Once we know a time and meeting location we can post to see if anyone else wants to join us.

Tony: there is plenty of trash that keeps coming back so no one should be concerned about 'NOT ENOUGH LITTER ALONG MISSION"!!! Yes, I'm shouting!!! Stan and I just picked up around the Gate 1 mailboxes again this morning after someone thought it would be fun to throw a pack of napkins and handfuls of Anthony Pizza flyers all over the place.

There's already a growing collection of bottles, cans, and fast food cups n' bags along all the places we've been picking up lately, even the ones we did the weekend before last....so no worries on having enough of other people's crap to pick up (well, hopefully not THAT, but ya know what I mean).

I LOVE THIS MOUNTAIN But some of the people on it....not so much.
