Just FYI
I had lunch more or less by accident with these guys several weeks ago and discussed the over the mountain to VA Mission Rd. they tell me they've heard the issue before and would support it if the issue gained public momentum (articles in the paper, etc), but barring that they tell me there are other roads and intersections and issues where traffic fatalities have made them much more pressing. They suggested statagies such as getting the developers to help due to concern of lack of infrustructure during rapid expasion through the county and getting at least a resolution of support (doesn't include $) from the Planning Commmission.
Unfortunatetly doesn't sound like a hot issue to these folks. but then again, they are the source of funding just planning. A state senator agree there are many PAVED roadds out in in WV that rarely get used. Dale said he understood it was presently cost prohibitive for the state, in view of other road priorities in rapidly expanding Jeff county.
