What are the trees with the pretty pink flowers along Mission Rd? Just curious.

redbud (http://images.google.com/images?q=redbud+photos&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=8dXsSannOsWMtgek5LnABQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=1&ct=title), you mean?

Looks like that. They're all along the road growing wild, a smaller tree. I just enjoy their spring show and wanted to know what they were.

Very easy to transplant and fast growing. It has a distinctive heart shaped leaf

Here's an old photo of the redbud on our road:

They are very easy to get starters going too, I broke off a couple branches and used Root tone and they took right off.

I'd love to put some in our yard, does anyone have a branch or two I can have to start?

Come on down and pull the little ones up by the roots in the back yard where the garden used to be.

Oklahoma State tree. I like those and the dogwoods a lot. A nice mix of those two.

Grr. My dogwood in my back yard seems to have suddenly died this year. That was one of my favorite trees.
