View Full Version : mast cell tumor
My pup has MCT grade 2 and had it removed last week but with dirty margins. She will be going back in for another operation next week or so to get more of it.
Has anyone else been thru this here locally, done chemo, radiation etc with their pup?

I don't have experience with it but it sounds like a potentially serious condition, with grade 2 being characteristically unpredictable. It also sounds like the further surgery is a good idea. The location of the tumor seems to play a major role in the long term prognosis. Best of luck, I guess this is the surgery your pup had last week.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this about your pup!It is hard when our furry friends are sick. The advances in vet medicine have been so great in recent years. We will be thinking of you and your pup.

Hoping for all the best with you and your pup.
thanks guys, please if your dog or cat has a lump/bump have it checked. Here are pix before it was removed and it didn't look like anything but a bug bite.
