My name is K.C., and I'm very pleased to meet you. I'm one of the many BAAC adoptable dogs with a sad history, but I'm hopeful for the future--maybe in your home!
Due to the economy and the increasing unemployment rates, my previous family became homeless. When my parents and four siblings packed up their car to head west, they left me behind. I was a loving, loyal family pet for a very long time, but I was abandoned as a senior citizen when my family fell on hard times.
Luckily for me, the young boy who was entrusted with my life by the family who left me behind was able to get me to Briggs Animal Adoption Center, where I will live until I find a forever home with a family who will love me unconditionally.

I'm great with children, and a little choosy with canine friends, but I love cats! Unfortunately, because of lack of money, my previous family couldn't afford flea and tick preventive, so I am heart worm and Lyme disease positive. Although, I am undergoing treatment and doing just fine! I am so sweet and very loving, and also quite playful! I might be an older dog, but I have so much love to give and the folks at the BAAC believe that I deserve to be adopted into a special home for the rest of my life.
