I don't get it, Willis.

I know that the Left likes to call everyone that they don't like "dumb" but President Bush's educational and professional accomplishments dwarfed those of both Gore and Kerry (and most people in this community) and totally smashed those of Barack Obama.

He was a lot of things, but dumb wasn't one of them.

I'm confused. Both Bush and Obama have a B.A., one in history and one in political science. And one of them has an MBA and one of them has a J.D., one from Harvard Law and one from Harvard Business.

So, if you assume that an MBA and a J.D. are equal, they seem pretty... equal, education-wise.

But honestly, excluding that, having a degree doesn't keep you from being an idiot by any stretch of the imagination.

Profession-wise, well, I'm sure we can all grant Obama some time to catch up to all of Bush's vast accomplishments, being 15 years his junior.

Bush also enlisted, was commissioned an officer, and made it through a very demanding flight school program to become a fighter pilot. He also started and ran several businesses and was governor of our second-largest state for two terms. On the other hand, I'm not taking away from Obama's scholastic achievements, but other than going to school and serving a term as a relatively undistinguished state senator in Illinois, he really hasn't done anything to demonstrate that he has the ability to be a leader. Obama has never run anything before, and some would say that he still hasn't. When's he going to do something besides make speeches and travel and play golf?
