The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County (AWSJC) and Petco work together to show some of the cats available for adoption.
Here is my weekly Petco Cat of the Week with pictures and my best explanation of their personalities.

If anyone wishes to adopt please contact the AWSJC @ (304) 725-0589. Also these names and numbers will help on the days listed:
Monday 5-7pm Jane 820-8209
Wednesday 5-7pm Janet 876-0892
Saturday 9am-Noon Dixie (301) 788-8677

The cost of adoption for cats is $80 once you have been approved. All cats are neutered and have their shots.

This week is Louie. He is a gray/white Tabby who is 9 years old. He is half price (because of his age)
This guy would be mine if I knew my husband wouldn't leave me. He is incredibly sweet. I had a hard time taking his picture because he was rubbing all over my hands. He LOVES treats and would probably let you hold him for hours. Not a mean bone in his body. Please someone take this guy home!!!

These damned posts are cruel, Girly. He does look like such a sweetie and I think they're selling him short. Take the deal, someone!!!

Hay Willis:

Wouldn't your girls love a hansome male feline companion. I already know they have a human male companion but not a cat.

They say cats are like potato chips, you always have room for one more!

They usually don't come to Petco with much information, but I can check tomorrow. I will also see if he is still there. Alot of times older cats are brought in because the owner has passed away or gone to assisted living situation.

Louie is still there. He is such a happy cat. It doesn't seem to bother him that he is there, but I'm sure he would love to find a home.
