All things considered, Stella is doing well. She had a third surgery on
September 28th to remove more muscle tissue around the tumor site, as well as a main nerve. As a result, she will walk with what's called "foot drop," meaning she can't walk normally on that foot without lifting her whole knee up or walking on her tippy toes. She'll have to wear a brace to help her walk for the rest of her life - a small price to pay to ensure all of the tumor was removed. But even after removing such a significant amount of muscle tissue, she hasn't let that slow her down at all yet.

Following, the surgery, doctors implanted a valve in her chest to facilitate chemotherapy. Stella started chemo on October 5th. The family had to spend the night in the hospital for her first treatment to see how her body would react. They'll now have to bring her for treatment every week for a year. Keep her in your thoughts in prayers in the meantime.
November 1st - Stella Update No. 2 will contain more information on Stella's condition and announce the raffle winners.
