Dog Keeps Visiting My Home

Yes, it looks like the same dog. Although the owners have been MUCH better about keeping track of her, she is not tied or fenced and does wander, particularly whenever they leave in their vehicles as she has been "taught" to chase them - at least as far as J.B. Court.

I hate pitbulls so there is nothing that looks sweet or cute about that dog to me or my cat.

Call Animal Control. The "owners" haven't bothered to get tags or at least aren't displaying them on the dog-has it had a rabies shot? They are lawbreakers who apparently aren't responsible pet owners.

Yeah, I know, biscuits. But she is very obedient --- she sits when asked and she was about to chase a cat and she obeyed me when I firmly said "no" --- a couple times.

Me and my cat respectfully disagree and wouldn't trust a pit bull for nothin.
But yes, this is the dog, never collared and was out this morning running down the road.
Dog tracks in my yard were minimal though - usually it looks like I have a kennel but this morning there were only tracks from one dog with big feet.

I should note that my house is 300 ft from the road so it isn' like the dogs have to go only a short distance to get up to where I park.

I can understand not liking/hating things that bare teeth, bark, snarl, hiss and or spit at you... however Pete from the video still has a place in his heart for you. He is also dead now making him a little less cute if you ask me, however it sounds like that MIGHT at least make some people hate him a little less.

Don't blame the breed, blame the breeders and owners.

Ohhhhh! I LOVE Pete! He's so cute! One Halloween we came across some folks who had their pit painted up like Pete. He was so sweet and friendly. Funny how most of the kids didn't know who "Pete" was. I've met many friendly Pit Bulls over the years as well as very sweet Rotties and Dobies. I've also run into some very nasty Dalmations, Daschunds, Chows and even Labs. It's all in the upbringing and training. (btw, the Daschund is lucky to still be alive after biting one of my kids. If hubby had his way it would be)

Personally I don't care how well trained, cute or friendly they are I won't go near them. It's just me I'm scared of dogs those are just the ones high on list. My daughter is exactly the same way and I didn't teach it to her its just the way we are. My middle daughter though could probably tame a wild beast.

It is all in the training - but some particular breeds scare the crap out of me and they know it and it fuels their aggression.
Dachshounds are particularly nasty, but I usually figure can step on them. And, so far, there are none of those running around my property 24/7.

I can totally understand your positions. My dad was bitten by a dog when he was young and had a fear of dogs ever since. Whenever he took a walk he carried his pistol with him. Thankfully he never had to use it. He softened a bit in later years when my brother got the sweetest black lab (named "Sweetheart" of course).

The mother of my daughter's friends, just got ate by a rottweiler and the dog nearly tore her calf off. This happened over the winter break in Shannondale at their neighbor across the streets house where they visit. She was hospitalized for a few days, numerous stitches, has not been able to work, will probably need plastic surgery....subsequently the dog was confiscated by Animal Control, owner willing....

My older daughter, the one that is scared of dogs with me, was at a yard party with us over the summer and she reached down and said "Hi Cookie" and petted this family dog, a border collie mix, and the dog jumped up and bit her on the face, ther lip, thank god it didn't need to be stitched and hit her in a good spot on her lip for healing, but DD was horrified.

And Katherine you are completely right, it is ten times worse for me and you because the dogs sense our fear so they target us.

Have to admit this dog scared me when she first showed up. But after a couple of "want a biscuit??" and her figuring out what I was saying she's come to be a little sweetheart. hope I still feel that way after . . . .
