MARTINSBURG - A fad harmful to both children and school systems has become the newest tool in networking and cyberbullying among students.
While Facebook, a social network, was originally designed for college students, even children in middle school are registered with the website. Through the site, participants are able to form group websites to share pictures, hold discussions and more. Officials say young students have taken the site too far.
"We're getting websites that are being created by students which are using our logo, and the sites are somewhat perceived to be our school system's," said Berkeley County Schools Assistant Superintendent Rick Deuell.
