McDonalds wants to hire 50,000 people in one day on April 19th, so if you are an Oprah-watching, couch-denting welfare recipient, here's your chance to join the ranks of the productive taxpayers.

And maybe if a few of our local ATV-riding punk kids had jobs that they had to be at in the morning like most people here do, they wouldn't be out racing around and bothering those people every night.

If the government shutdown is still continuing, I'll keep that date in mind.

I love when places like McDonald's make the dreams of people like you come true, Nanuk.

It's funny to me because the same miscreants you want to work at McDonald's will be the same miscreants whose spit will be in your food.

But there's good news! You won't even notice it, they hide it in the condiments these days.

People like you can spit in all the food you like at McDonalds, Chutney. I don't eat at places like that.

Not sure if these types of jobs would provide them the amount of cash they spend on gas alone, not to mention the dent a regular job would put on there incredibly flexible schedule.

Does this mean that Mrs. Obama's Let's Move campaign isn't working? McDs reported that Feb sales increased 2.7 percent over previous months. Comfort Eating I guess.

For the ATV crew on the mountain these jobs would give them a traceable income that could help explain the custom quads and expensive riding gear that are afforded to them by other nefarious means.

Fir the rest of the bottom feeders 50,000 openings at McDonalds could be the start of a promising career, better education, and a chance to get off of public assistance......

I think that part of the reason McDonald's sales are up is because of the cost of grocery food is up so dramatically. A person can get the dollar burger, dollar fry and a drink for around $3.50. While I could slap together a peanut butter sandwich for less, I can't make myself a hamburger, purchase the condiments, make fries, etc. for that. I think it is more the case of cheap eating rather than comfort eating. I know I am more tempted to go there if I haven't brought lunch to work as all the other sandwich lunch type places are at least $5 - $6 for a sandwich let alone a sandwich, fries and a drink.

You'd be surprised at how much a person can make working at McDonald's. I began there when I was 18 running the drive-thru as a cashier, 6 months later I was a front end supervisor, by the time I was 19 I was an Assistant Manager running 2 stores. I worked at McDonald's for 4 years. The pay was great and the benefits were good.

I can't remember. I was lucky enough that my parents were able to pay for my college, so I didn't look into it at the time.

There's really only one problem. Credits don't transfer from the Hamburger University:

But could you wake up at noon and then ride ATV's around until 2 or 3 am... just to wake up at noon again to ride your ATV...
