talk about stereotyping....pilot refuses 2 passengers based on their looks/dress. They can do that? guess so.

... the group will follow up with the airline and with the TSA to help ensure such incidents do not continue to occur.Actually, I think they should only follow up with the pilot. Going after the others makes it look as if they had anything to do with it. I bet none of the other passengers were happy about the delay going back to the gate to de-plane these guys.

If the CAIR wants to follow up with anyone maybe they should follow up with the American Islamists or followers of Islam in general who have never come out publicly and denounced any of the countless Islamic terrorist attacks against America that have occurred previous to 9/11 or since. Here's an idea. If you want to call yourself the Council on American Islamic Relations then maybe you should consider what's best for America and not just your small segment of society. Don't like it? Maybe you should partner up with the NAACP or one of many other similar groups as they seem to share your sentiments on tearing this country apart.

Council on American Islamic Relations

There is no need for such a thing. Believe me, when it comes to 'American - Islamic relations', the goal is to make our country more like them, as opposed to making them more like the country they chose to live in and conform to.

I'm still stunned that there are some folks that practice Islam on the Human Rights Council.

I have no problem with anyone practicing the religion that they believe best represents their beliefs, but in the current climate of the US and with the recent killing of Osama Bin Laden and the promised retaliation by al Qaeda and the Taliban it should come as very little shock that average Americans are going to be a little more vigilant... even if that means offending persons who practice the same religion that HIJACKED AND FLEW PLANES INTO THE WTC, PENTAGON AND CRASHED A FOURTH IN PENNSYLVANIA....

How's that supposed to work, though? Do we need a roll call of all people associated with a religion to speak up and officially denounce terrorist acts committed in the name of that religion?

The idea, I think, is to make sure that America does not step on certain groups while it moves forward into the future (or worse, move forward by stepping on them).

I believe the point is that Muslims want the rest of us to forget that most of the terrorists are of their religion and the atrocities of terrorism being carried out in the name of Allah..... When more suicide bombers start screaming "JESUS IS LORD" instead of "ALLAHU AKBAR" before going off to meet their 72 virgins then we can start moving into a more balanced future where "other groups" are committing acts of terrorism on a global scale like the Islamic extremists, but until then I completely support this pilots decision to do what he feels is in the best interest of his employer, aircraft, passengers, crew and himself.

... the point is that Muslims want the rest of us to forget that most of the terrorists are of their religionHuh? Since when? Are you keeping a body count? If so then please tell us just what the current count is for say, Christians vs. Muslims. Be sure to include the Oklahoma City bombing, and the fact that virtually every serial killer in the U.S. has been Christian.

On second thought, take it to a different thread. This is about one pilot - not the passengers (no vote was taken) - that decided he didn't want these two people on board.

Once again you are confusing apples with figs. In the wake of Bin Ladens killing and the threats by the al Qaeda to get revenge this pilot made a judgment call based on statistical probability that if someone aboard HIS aircraft were to try and hijack it. It would be the two muslims.... based on recent history.
