If the local police do not investigate or even file reports when local residents call then is it safe to say that the crime reports do not actually portray the seriousness of the crime up here. Then it is safe to say that with deflated crime figures this makes the area much better than it is really is and also increasing the tax revenue with people moving to a realitivity crime free area.
Again in Conspiracy mode

...also increasing the tax revenue with people moving to a realitivity crime free area.Sounds as good as any other theory to me...

I actually expected much more crime than there really is, or seems to be, so I am pleasantly surprised.
I would imagine that crime seems higher here in regards to this website because being the victim of a crime is the perfect reason to finally log onto this site that you've been reading about every morning on your way out of the neighborhood... I remember quite a few members joining because they were violated in some way at their home.
What if you ask for a written report. I know when people have creamed our bushes at the bottom of the hill or ruined our landcaping from the countless wrecks, we go down to the Sheriff's office and pay like $5 and get a report. I know it is a different situation, but just throwing it out there....

I wouldn't say it's a conspiracy. Perhaps LE in this area are really that dense...and no one wants to break the cycle. We are constantly told there's not enough resources, we can't fingerprint, and yet they gave back $700K they didn't spend. So either they are inept, or there is a conspiracy involving local realtors to make this area more attractive to potential buyers.
I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that it's generally only petty theft that occurs here. There's no serial rape/murder going on (although every few years I do hear lore about a serial killer killing children.....).

Their presence up here seems to be sporadic. I may see a few of them riding throughout Shannondale one day but a few months will go by and I won't see one LE vehicle.
creamed our bushes
Thanks for that visual. :o

Coincidentally (?), one of our County Commissioners has property out that way...
