Strange woman / car

Around 3:30am this morning, my dog alerted me to someone outside. I went out with flashlight, noticed a 4 door silver/gray volkswagen (80's model), kind of weathered and rough looking sitting on Huckleberry, blocking the road. After a few minutes of observation, I approached and lit up the car with flashlight. There was a heavy set woman, hair in all directions, totally out of it. She didn't move much when I shined my light on her. She did move, so I figured she was alive. As I went back to call police, I heard the motor start up and she tore off like a bat out of hell. After a while I went back to bed, but at 5:30am, as I got up for the day, the car was back, only parked about a 50 yards further down the road near ginger/gingerbread. I again went out and this time she was awake and as soon as she spotted me, she tore off again. MAybe she is a homeless woman, maybe she was the waiting get away car for burglaries, who knows, but it is/was very odd. I have not seen her since then, but will be keeping an eye out.

What's going on in Shannondale is query. Evidently there are some people or there is some one who found our community and think(s) it's a good place to dump drunks. Or it could be there is a person or some persons casing the area to see how long it takes the police to respond to a call. We had a "roamer" in our neighborhood the other day (early in the morning around 4 a.m.) and the police had to be called to remove him. They got here quickly. He (the drunk) only had on trousers, no shirt or shoes, and he was obviously coming out of a drunken stuper (or something like it). His face was all bloody and swollen, and when the police arrived he gave them his name and said someone beat him up and broke his nose. It sure looked like it. Now we have to be as cautious with the people wondering our roads and area as we
are with the bears. What's going on. I sure hope no one gets shot before we find out. Caution is evidently the key word.

Perhaps she is a woman scorned by one of your neighbors.

He won't leave his wife to be with her, so she's going to kill his wife so she can gain victory in this battle for her man that she is fighting with herself. He doesn't want her anymore, and she needs to let it go. She has such a low self-esteem that she has become co-dependant on a man she was having an affair with, so keep this in mind...

Perhaps the next time you approach the car, you should offer her counseling, and assure her that there are plenty of men out there that like junk in the trunk, both in a woman and a volkswagen. She may not screech off the next time, but be careful. She may confuse that as a come-on, and you'll be the next target of the battle in her head.

Does that only seem strange to PK and I? Seriously? He walked up to her, shined a light on her and got no response. He walked away and she took off...But she only went down the street...And she was still there when he was getting ready for work??

I think that is strange. Not to mention she was blocking the road...It does sound like she was drunk but...drunk enough to know how to "fake sleep" and then tear off after the weird guy shining the light on her was gone...But only down the street? You have to be very drunk to pass out in your car in the middle of the road - But sober (a little bit anyways) to fake sleep - But drunk to get away from the threat only to move 50 yards down the road...WEIRD...(to me anyhow)

Hmmm. Last Saturday at the Gate3/4 mailshed a woman in an old beat up red car stopped me and asked how to get to Charles Town. It seemed like an odd question because she was driving from that direction. I told her just to turn around and she would eventually come to Rt 9 and gave her directions. But for some reason that seemed like too much information and said "they" lived in the area before and just recently moved back. That comment made me look for her license plates which she didn't have any in the front of her car so I presumed she had WV plates. When I told her I was going driving to CT and she could follow me, she agreed to that.

Well, she followed me to about Gate 1 then I never saw her in my rear view mirror.

That's my weird story.
