The Crocodile Hunter has been killed by a stingray while filming a documentary on the evil little beasties. Well, technically he was trying to "demystify" them, but one jabbed a poison stinger into his heart. Sorry to see you go Steve. Always figured a Gator or a Snake would take you out, but I was wrong.

I always thought he'd live to see 100. That is too bad.

Couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning. Almost as sad as when we lost Michael Landon and John Ritter.

I totally thought it would have been a snake. Sucks really, He leaves behind a wife and two young children.

The worst part is that deaths by stingrays are extremely rare and the last one in Australia was in 1945. The barb went under his ribcage into his heart in a bad stroke of luck. At least he died doing what he loved to do. Too bad it wasn't when he was 90 yrs old.

Did anyone see the replay this morning of his interview with Matt Lauer after the incident with his baby in front of the alligator? That was very touching with his daughter.

Very sad. I love the rattle snake episode Steve Irwin did here in the US.
I still can't believe John Ritter is gone 3 years this week.

I can't believe Cash died the same day, and I hear more about John Ritter. :D

Too bad people don't get to live forever, eh?

I thought Steve said in an interview that they replayed this weekend that his parents were dead. But his father Bob has said that he is going to get well so he can run the zoo until Steve's kids can take over. Also, they don't want a state funeral because he was an everyday person.

AWWWWWWWW! *wiping tears* how sweet is THAT!

i gotta tell you, i didnt really care for the guys shows. he was TOO perky for my tastes. BUT i did admire his love and knowledge of wildlife and thought he was a great asset to the animal kingdom. i totally respected him and i am deeply saddened by his death. :(
