Friday night- Happy Hour March 23rd

Spoke with a few neighbors who liked this idea.:D

We will be the first to host a once a month Friday Night "Roving" Happy Hour. The first one will be on Oct. 20th. 7PM until 9 or 10PM.

Heres the plan, once a month different locations will host a Happy Hour, pick a date and give out directions. This is a BYOB or whatever drink of preference and bring an Hor Duerves type food to share.
Come out and meet your neighbors. [cheers]
We will give out directions to our place when it gets closer.

I hope more people will show up then are responding to this suggestion. When the club was here it was fun to see everyone Friday nights for Happy Hour. We miss those times and have made alot of good friends from the club days. So if you want to join us send me an email and I will give you the location. Hope to hear from more of you. I plan on making a spicy cheese spread with crackers.

I think that would be fun. I'm not sure how often we'd be able to attend with the new baby to take care of. I'm sure we could get a baby sitter once in a while for the kids so we could enjoy an occasional night out.

I am up for it...but I am limited to every other Friday. I won't be able to make the first one, but possibly the next one, and of course, I would be willing to host as well. Let me know how the first one goes, and if no one volunteers for the next one drop me an email and I will check my schedule.

Sounds like fun.
We would be able to host one now and then also! We do this quite often with the people we already know; it will be nice to meet MORE people.
Would it be wrong to allow kids on an individual basis...Like, the Friday night it is held at our house, since we have kids and A LOT of our friends (and soon to be friends) have kids we could set up kid friendly drinks and snacks and they could play, or watch a movie, in the playroom. We happen to have a great playroom!
And since this is a happy hour type event and people will be driving home it isn't something I would be worried about having my children around...

Is that totally against the whole idea you originally had Girlyjeep? Is it sorta defeating the purpose?

Kem, If you host its totally up to you how to do it. My kids are out of the house, so for me its probably not a kid thing and yes we all have to drive home so it won't be a crazy party thing, just a few snacks, drinks and meet new people in the area. We will attend, kids or no kids, doesn't matter.

This definitely sounds like a Leprechaun coming out happy hour, partay, hoedown, ballroom dancing, moonwalking, air-guitar playing, booze guzzling, hiney spanking, joke telling, body hugging, beer swilling, cigar puffing, tree climbing, nude trampoline jumping affair! And since it's the night before my big birthday bash I'll consider it a tune-up to the huge anticipated gargantuan mountain festivites!
