Each year, Loudoun County conducts a mass vaccination or medication distribution exercise to improve the ability of our government and our residents to respond to a widespread outbreak of disease. This year?s exercise, CodeFlu 06, will be held on Saturday October 21 beginning at 10:30 AM at Heritage High School in Leesburg.
As part of this exercise, all participants will receive a free pandemic influenza preparedness kit. We will also be providing free flu shots to all adults as long as supplies last and community service time to all students.
To best test our emergency plan, we need a large number of people to volunteer 2-3 hours of their Saturday to serve as a client. There are no age or residency requirements; organizations and individuals from anywhere in the region are encouraged to participate.
