I don't think it's possible in the current version of the forum, sorry.

I agree it might be nice since the email notification links take you to the topic starting post rather than the last post, but this behavior probably wouldn't change anyway. i.e., the emailed link would still take you to the first post, then you'd have to back up a few pages to read the last post.

There is also a link at the bottom of the topics which will show you all of the new posts since your last visit. That may help you navigate a bit better.

Also, the little blue arrow to the right takes you to the last post.

There are other forum systems that I have seen that allow what you are asking. Maybe there is a setup parameter of this forum (Snitz) to enable that function. The web admin will have to take care of that though.
