We just moved into shannondale and the furnace was humming along nicely. And then it just stopped. Really bad timing considering the upcoming cold spell and freezing temps headed this way. Any recommendations on oil providers. I searched and couldn't fine one in previous threads.

Thanks!

If you can't get anything by nightfall you probably ought to go buy some diesel fuel, epsecially if this is your only heat source. Once you have fuel in the system you might also need to bleed it and prime the pump. Check this site:

We thought we had run out shortly after we moved in in April of 04 and used Smith Oil (725.2215) because they were the least expensive at the time (I called around to those listed in the phone book). They were good, and cheap, like I said. We haven't had it filled since because we so rarely use it. We've never used all that they brought out, and rely chiefly on the woodstove, only turning on the oil heat once in a blue moon to keep the pipes downstairs from freezing.
