I posted this here because anything this person does is not NEWS worthy and I'd only call her entertaining if I lived in a trailer park, but this is outrageous to me from a legal perspective.

Citing 'Medical' Reasons, Sheriff Sends Paris Hilton Home to Finish Sentence
After serving only three full days behind bars, Paris Hilton (javascript:siteSearch('Paris Hilton');) was released from jail early Thursday, partly due to "medical" reasons — but she has been fitted with an ankle bracelet and must remain confined to her home for 40 days, according to a sheriff's spokesman.
WTF, Over? What kind of message does this send to those bobbleheaded tweens, teens and young adults who for some reason worship this over publicized sperm sponge? That no matter how much you F up in life or how mny bad mistakes you make, or how many times you break the law money can buy your freedom.
B!TCH SHOULDA SPENT TIME IN MARICOPA COUNTY. Sheriff Joe was all over that....... Stupid LA County.
Status card, BooHoo card, $card, sick card she pulled them all and got out. It burns my butt too.

I'm sure her medical condition was related to her lack of Jail House ...

So, if I drive drunk and get caught, all I have to do is cry, whine, and refuse to eat for three days, and I'll get out of jail too, right?

Yeah, the story I saw on the news said it was because she "was becoming depressed due to her confinement"!!!
Can you believe that Shiite! What about, oh, say, EVERY other prisoner's "confinement"-based depression?!?
Anyhow, in her sentancing, the judge specifically outlined that it was JAIL ONLY. No house arrest, no nothing - actual jail sentance. Apparantly this Sheriff is in trouble...

Oh, and:
Hilton's home measures 2,700 square feet, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
That's not that fabulous. That's the same specifications that my house has.

"I want to thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and staff of the Century Regional Detention Center for treating me fairly and professionally," she said. "I am going to serve the remaining 40 days of my sentence. I have learned a great deal from this ordeal and hope that others have learned from my mistakes." Paris Hilton
That quote is a load of crock! The only thing she and the rest of the country has learned is that money will buy you out of anything. Of course she's going to be comfortable serving her sentence in her own home with all the luxeries she is used to! She needs to go back to the jail for her sentence just like every other average person convicted of a crime.
She's nothing but a media-ho and that's the only thing that has made her a celebrity.

Exactly.... What kind of role model is she being to our 3 year old daughter.....
Of course she's going to be comfortable serving her sentence in her own home with all the luxeries she is used to!
True, but how could anybody be comfortable in a itty-bitty 2700sqft house? She might as well live in a trailer..... with the rest of her people.
She needs to go back to the jail for her sentence just like every other average person convicted of a crime.
Yep. And this time I want to hear the words GEN-POP.
And yes, City. The judge is trying to find the sheriff in contempt of court for defying his sentencing. I hope he gets it too..... Even Martha Stewartt served 5 months at Alserson Federal Prison in White Sulpur Springs, WV before she was placed under supervised release and required to wear an ankle bracelet for an additional 5 months of house arrest.

Do they have hot lesbian action in Women's jails?
I mean, surely there are DVD's out there that portray this (NANUK has them *all*), but do girls also become "gay for the stay"?
Because I want to hear about her being violated. That will sell news!

Back to jail she goes.
Paris Hilton was taken from a courtroom screaming and crying Friday seconds after a judge ordered her returned to jail to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case.
"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.

What's not right is violating parole.

Are you not familiar with the sexploitation flicks of the 70s? Women in Prison, and the like?

Granted, she is probably a talentless, spoiled example of a person, and an awful role model... I'm much more upset that this is what makes the front page, it speaks volumes to how vapid and shallow our collective public has become. I mean, we're in the middle of a war, the powers that be are randomly charging us almost four bucks a gallon for gas while simultaneously holding back environmentally safe transportation, young girls are being abducted from parking lots and murdered in broad daylight, but rest assured America, the Paris Hilton story has been updated every 10 minutes for the last week!!! Sorry to rant, it's just such a sad commetary...

Maybe the media thinks we are tired of hearing all the sad, tragic stories and wanted to provide us with some rediculous entertainment!;)
