Vandalism in Gate 1 Last Night

A well known bear told me last night that there's a "game" people are playing around the county...
1 group goes and tags something, then another group goes to find it, and outdo the 1st group.
This had NOT better be something of that nature up here. Apparently, this has been going on quite a while.
It just makes me THAT much happier that the police are present up here this weekend.

How 'bout that "lil miss whore" on the bridge going to Ctown??
It has been covered and re-done about 10 times in the last year or so. I am sick of looking at it...Put up a temp cam and find out who's doing it.

Plus, 9 times out or 10, "whore" is spelled wrong which brings accuracy to (almost) all the WV jokes.

I might add the vandal was very religious and is a graduate of the local school system. Edukashun rules!!!

What I find really, really disappointing about graffiti is that they *NEVER* drop the C-bomb.

Ever.

I've seen some pretty offensive stuff written with spray paint, but they never go for that one special word that could make a soccer mom grab a gun. Why is that? Is it their goal to really offend, or just create the illusion of being offensive?

I mean, if you're gonna set out to do something, do it the best you can. Sometimes, I feel that people who write cuss words in spray paint on a public wall aren't even trying...

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are SOOOOOOOOOOO funny! I'm not a "soccer Mom", but I play one on tv! (actually I am a "working Mom" - much more deadly!!!) Yes...the C word is what will CRUSH any foe that dares to write it...I think before anyone on earth can get it in spray paint, an actual C must have been there to squash them like the pitiful man that they only WISH they were able to be!

Why??? Not like LE in JeffCo has ever been very responsive to vandalism, theft, arson, etc in Shannondale. Especially when the suspects are juveniles. And keep in mind that I'm not suggesting that the suspects are or are not juveniles, but I find it suspicious that these events have started the same week that school is let out for summer break. No doubt more to follow......

I'm sure many of us have "THOUGHT" it privately, but I've never been confused with "That Guy" who keeps his thoughts to himself. I'm surely not afraid to take the i-wrath of some angry 18y/o who will sooner or later log on to this site (probably during the day when Mommy and Daddy are at work) and know the identity of the person who did the tagging and whatever else is to follow..... and defend this persons behavior. It happens every summer up here and it's not by coincidence that this type of behavior generally starts in June and runs through September.

There are kids out roaming all over the place, Jefferson Co. and down where I work and they are all just milling around which is scary.

Kids in general aren't scary. I agree that this is most likely summertime fun for some little hellyuns, but I would go locking your car doors and driving around with your windows shut tight due to fear of being bitten by the shuffling hordes.

Please. Nobody could imagine the vandalizing that we did when we were kids. It was generally harmless, but for some reason, it was fun to a group of poor kids with no avenues for entertainment. We didn't use spray painy. We used grass killer spray (like roundup) on their lawn to get our viewpoint of the occupants across.

Kids need things to do. If not, and left alone to their own devices - they will come up with activities all on their own. We did.

To those that vandalize, little dost thee know, cameras and neighbors are watching, and w/ the correct "coaxing", ($), people spill the beans.
So, have your "fun" now, and at some point, you'll be paying it all back ;)
