My friend lost her health insurance (got canceled) right after she found out she was pregnant. Turns out she is having twin girls and some pretty serious complications so her doctor bills are astronomical without insurance.

These two lovely baby girls are supposed to be born 8/22 if they can wait; which is a month early due to some complications. Patty has asked me to be Godmother and I have happily accepted that honor.

She is still in need of baby things times two. I think she'll need clothes and diapers if anyone has leftovers they never used before the younguns outgrew them. I suspect they'll be pretty tiny at birth being twins and a month early.

I am also looking for a car seat for the infant stage. They are girls so hopefully something light colored or pretty is out there hoping for a new home. PM me if you have any questions or donations. I can't thank you enough. I hope to have the babies come to a dog club night so you can meet them in a month or two.

Thanks ever so much! Dawn

I suspect they'll be pretty tiny at birth being twins and a month early. I'll ask my step-daughter to look and see what she's got left over from her two girls, but since both were very hefty newborns, I doubt that she'll have anything that would be of immediate use.
Thanks ever so much! Can I suggest that she might consider asking her church for some help? This is just the kind of situation that I would think a sisterhood-type group would love to take on as a 'pet' project.

I wish I would've seen this post earlier!!! I literally just got back from my sister's and dropped tons of baby girl stuff off at the good will in Martinsburg. Her daughter is now 2 years old and her family is getting ready to move to Europe for the next 5 years and she simply can't take everything. We had a bassinette, swing, clothes, bedroom decor.

However, she may be selling a crib and changing table for a fairly cheap price if she can talk her husband into letting her to it because it used to be his when he was little, but the furniture is beautiful and in immaculate condition! If she does do this, I'll get some pics and let you know first.

bummer on the bad timing. Thanks for thinking of Patty and the babies. We'll be grateful for anything.

I have a bouncy seat. My son has figured out how to climb out of it once strapped in so I have no use for it anymore since I can't keep him contained!

I have a closet full of stuff...a bouncy seat (maybe x2) and some other stuff. I have given away all my infant clothes already though. I'll look through it and PM you what I have.

There's an awesome store in CT called Wear It Again Kid that has loads of stuff, including preemie clothes, which are usually in excellent condition and are pretty cheap in cost.

WOW - Thanks everyone!!! I will take anything offered. I am sure she will be thrilled. I can't wait until they are old enough for dogpatch dog club. I can pick up any evening this week.

Thanks again! :)

Starbuck, where is that store in CT? I'll try there today.

Thanks again.

Sorry, I was away for the weekend and just saw this. Wear it Again Kid is on Main Street (Washington St.), diagonal and on the opposite side of the street from the new Latin grocery and wine stores. Facing Thomassen's, it's down from Stuck & Alger's.

Dawn, when should I drop the bouncy seat off?

I'll be around tonight and tomorrow after 7pm. Thanks again. If it isn't raining and that timing doesn't work for you, then you can just drop and run. In fact, while you are there, check out the jungly gym thingy near the top of the driveway and take it if you like it. It is a climbing thing. :)

I can drop it by after 7. That will be a good time because Bryan will be home and I won't have to drag the kids along. Something for the kids to climb on? I will definitely check it out.

You should sign up at Yahoo Group Freecycle.

Someone always has baby things to give away.
