Even though we have several pets already, my wife really missed not having a "little girl" to cuddle with. She's six weeks old, is a Cocker Spaniel, has no name yet and as you can see, is cute as can be. She doesn't have a name yet, with Molly and Annie being the front-runners... although Scilla (short for Priscilla) is coming on strong. (Two of our dogs are named "Elvis" and "Parker".)

awww. such a sweet wittle thing! aw. makes me sad that my pups are 4yrs old :-( *sigh* luv them anyways.
oh. and ya know, she " sorta" looks like priscilla, although you know you can't tell yet if she's gonna be " prissy" or a if she'll have the personality of a Molly or an Annie( both girl next door names IMO) And Molly seems more " tomboyish". She's still a sweet girl tho.

She is adorable.
Ask AA about cockers and their ears...Something to keep an eye on as she grows up to keep her healthy.

C and I vote for Scilla - Elvis fans.

Hey, thanks for all the nice comments! Already she's starting to show a bit of her personality. And while the big boys can't quite figure out why she smells like a dog, but is smaller than our bunny, they've been remarkably gentle.

Ask AA about cockers and their ears...Something to keep an eye on as she grows up to keep her healthy. She's not our first Cocker, so we know all about those ears.

Also, I can't remember if I mentioned it before, but our "boys" are all coon-hounds - one a black & tan with big floppy ears. (Ear-cleaning is a regular part of canine health in our house.)

(The champ in this picture is not ours, just a good representative of the breed standard... check out the ears.)

Ohhh congratulations on your new puppy. She is sooo cute!
Yes, you got hounds... you got ears... hahahaha!

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get her from?

Puppies are the best. I never had the joy of having a puppy myself, but I just love little puppy kisses. :)

I love the "corn chip" smell of their tiny little feet! :)
I thought Niko had grown outta his, but it was quite apparent the other morning when he jumped on me to wake me up, that he hadn't yet.
I swear you'd've thought a Frito-Lay truck exploded in the bedroom HAHAHAHA
Puppy breath, sweet little puppy "I love you, I'm so excited Im'ma pee all over the place" wagglie butt, and corn-chip feet, that's puppy luvins right there! :)

Oh, well, good then.
I didn't know anything about it but when I almost adopted one AA was nice enough to let know that I should look at, and smell, her ears! LOL.

Just trying to pass on the advice to perhaps an unknowing person. How silly of me to think you wouldn't already know about the ears! ;)

Did you choose a name for her yet?

Yes, you got hounds... you got ears... hahahaha! We used to think that the ears on *our* black & tan were pretty long until we watched an event being judged on TV a couple of years back. Our guy's ears barely make it to the start of his nostrils; apparently the "breed standard" calls for point deductions if the ears don't at least meet at the front of the nose!
If you dont mind me asking, where did you get her from? From a small breeder in Ashburn. She still had a female and a bunch of males, as of Saturday afternoon. (We got first choice.)
Oh, well, good then.
I didn't know anything about it but when I almost adopted one AA was nice enough to let know that I should look at, and smell, her ears! LOL.It sure can be a rude awakening to one day catch a whiff of "rotten ear smell" for the first time!
Just trying to pass on the advice to perhaps an unknowing person. How silly of me to think you wouldn't already know about the ears! ;)I know, I know... that's one of the things I like about this site - that everyone is willing to offer up advice to everyone else. FWIW, I also had a JRT a few years back who was prone to ear issues - and he didn't even have droopy ears!
Did you choose a name for her yet?I think my wife has settled on Molly.
SOOO Cute!!
Happiness is a warm puppy!!She's sleeping on my lap as I'm typing this. There's not much in life more therapeutic than a little one sleeping contentedly on your belly, is there?

People with puppies and digital cameras are *almost* as bad as people with new babies and digital cameras. :D

OMG I didn't realize how SMALL she is! She's sooooooo freakin' tiny! She was just a hair under 2 pounds when she came home with us. Parker, (the hound in the photo), on the other hand is around 85 pounds. ;)
Molly's a PERFECT name! :)So far, it seems to fit. And she actually (play) growled at one of the hounds this afternoon. (Coincidentally, the one in the picture.) :p
