Although I did not watch the whole race, I have officially decided with my husband that our driver for this year will be KASEY KAHNE. Somehow it escaped me that he is now the Budweiser car and that seems appropriate for us. He was my driver with Carl Edwards last year so it wasn't a total surprise.

I did not want Tony Stewart or Kyle Busch to win, and god knows I am happy Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon were out, so I am happy that Ryan Newman pulled it off and as much as I don't like Kurt Busch in Rusty's car a 1-2 finish for Penske is well deserved.

my husband forbids me to pick a 'hero' for nascar.

the first time i picked one was davey allison. he died within a year.
the next one i picked was ernie irvan and he went blind in one eye.

i have since not been allowed to pick a favorite. lol

although i like, jr.

(cant stand gordon. yuck!)

Okay Lar - You've got my guy - Kasey - great minds think alike!! And I didn't even realize till yesterday that his car is now budweiser - DUH!!! Oh and my husband likes Tony S.- SOoooo go easy on him - he's been stuck on him for years now.

We will have to get together sometime for the race.

We should, the Budweiser part, cemented it for us and we can go Dodge or Ford but can't do a stinkin' Chevy. My daughter is a Stewart fan.

I'm a closet Jr. Fan I have to admit. He's doing pretty well so far.

Speaking of Ernie Irvan - what ever happened to him?

My family has always been the Earnhart fans. I am one to a point, but also like the underdogs from time to time. My husband had an opportunity to meet Jimmie Johnson in person and he said he wouldn't give anyone the time of day, he was quite rude.

My husband works for an auto shop and their shop sold the most Jasper transmissions and when they won the trip to Michigan, Jimmie Johnson was there to meet and greet - well, that marked the end for rooting for this guy in Nascar...he said he was quite a jerk.

I freaked today because I was thinking I must be such an idiot, how can Kasey Kahne be #8 and Budweiser and not be a Chevy. So I stopped at Sweet Springs because they have a poster and he is Dodge. Thank goodness. What is his team though?

Evernham and he's still in the #9 DODGE.

Mark Martin is Driving the #8 ARMY Chevrolet for DEI on a part time basis with rookie Aric Almirola.

If that ones messing with you try the M&Ms car is now a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driven by Kyle Busch who last year drove the #5 Kelloggs Chevrolet that is being driven this year by Casey Mears. Casey Mears drove the #25 GMAC Chevy that is now the #88 Mountain Dew Amp/National Guard driven by Dale Jr.

Kahne starts 37 for Las Vegas. I am hereby announcing that Carl Edwards is my second driver for the year. This is not new news, if you check the archives, Kahne and Edwards were our drivers last year.
