View Full Version : two points
Just two points we may want to discuss at the next planning meeting.
Roadside memorials. When and how much to clean up?
Overflow help. If we ever actually do get more than we need to pick up our Mission Road spots, where should we send them?

Behind the mail shed.
Behind the mail shed. No, all the mail sheds on Mission Road are already covered in our regular spots.
The choices are to send them into the community or send them out to more public places like Rt. 9. And we need very specific parking places, not vague concepts like "Route 9". Reason being, we'll have to send DOH out to get the bags.

Maybe over by the lake? I don't really know if it's allowed, but I do know the last time I was over there (during the "Indian Summer" we had in Dec/Jan), the trails were disgraceful.

Let's hope we get plenty of volunteers for the spring pickup. We may have to consider a two day event considering the shape of Mission Road and some of the other areas such as around the lake.
Hopefully we'll get a good turnout. As soon as we set the date at next Thursday's meeting we need to begin promoting the pickup. The entire mountain is a trash pit!

I still have some contact info to help gather up volunteers. I can PM people like I did last year to see if they can commit.
I think it all depends on the date(s) picked.
Why don't we do a street by street flyer pass out thing prior to the cleanup using volunteers from S&B to take their street?

Lar, hopefully you can make it for the BRILLO meeting Thursday evening. One of the things we plan to talk about is a neighborhood meet and greet to handout the flyers that were left over from the fair. I also got some litter bags, pencils and other handouts from the state to pass out.
