Live Video Streaming at the MCC April 14

Rate this Entry
I have an interest in doing some live video streams for events hosted at the MCC. Generally it takes a couple of people to pull these things off from a technical perspective, so if you are technically, aurally or visually inclined, raise your hand. The first event tentatively is a book reading in conjunction with the grand opening of the renovated Children's Room --- April 14. Local author Malcolm Ater has been confirmed.

Things are lining up nicely. My best camera operator is available. I have new software for the Mac that is designed for webcasting. I have an idea on how to get clean audio during the book reading. Sweet.

I saw something from Neil on an EPOHOA initiative to stream some candidate debates. Covering a book reading is one thing. Handling multiple speakers is another and requires more staffing to get a decent product. I had a estimate of seven staff to cover a conference table with multiple presenters, but it included live captioning and taking questions via the net.
