    Default Former Daily Grind becoming...?

I'm downtown having some emergency car maintenance done*, and I see the "Business for sale" signs are down from the windows of the Daily Grind and a new sign says "Will reopen under new management". Anybody know what's going in? Is it DG coming back under a new franchisee, or a new restaurant, or something completely different?

    * Last night I discovered my alignment was out of whack when I heard rattling from the left front wheel well and upon inspection discovered the very inside of the tread worn down to the belts. Other side, same story. I had a tread separate twice on a former car and don't care to repeat the experience...
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams

There's no mention of the Daily Grind reopening the location on their website. You know they have on in Leesburg, Martinsburg and Berryville? They would be the closet ones to us right now.

It is not re-opening as the Daily Grind. Someone I know has bought all the equipment and is turning it into a different business. Can't give you all the deets right now (or I might be shot!), but keep on the lookout for updates.

Oh...and if anyone is interested in a job, please let me know. I think they are looking for people from 7am-3pm, but again it is not set in stone at this point.

Different business but still a coffee shop I take it, since they bought all the equipment.
I hope the venture works well for them. Downtown needs new business's to attract folks.

If it is going to be a coffee shop again, they better find a better coffee... the stuff they served actually sucked.

Well, we are all coffee snobs now, aren't we?

There are Daily Grinds in the Winchester area as well. One of my classmate's dad is part owner and she brings coffee for the class on Saturday mornings at LFFCC.

I am a tea drinker so I wouldn't what it is like.

    Cool Not Grind but......

    Hi Everyone,

Well I decided to go in and ask what was going to be in the former Daily Grind and it turns out the girl who was in there painting has been eating lunch every day at Cookie Cones with some older guy! I wondered why they were so vague when they were at CCC. The guy had a BMW with Mississippi tags and I was being friendly wondering what they were doing up here and they kept giggling.

I know they took an employee from another small coffee shop in town and recruited them right out of her shop.

So it is going to be a coffee shop with lots of lunch items...big surprise since they saw my big lunch crowd.

I must admit all the secrecy is silly!

    Take care,

    Leah

Not at all. It's probably a secret Russian spy cafe -- they'll have a forest of satellite dishes on the roof of the building so they can broadcast mind-control waves that make politicians in DC unable to think clearly or understand simple finance.

    That's already been covered, evidently.
