THE VISION:

Do you know how the Night got started? It was a dream in a bunch of crazy YOUTH'S hearts! It was a group of youth standing up and saying "WE WANT TO DO SOMETHING TO SERVE GOD NOW!" It was people getting on their knees and begging God to bless it, and move in it, and work powerfully through it. AND THOSE PRAYERS ARE BEING ANSWERED!

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

When the idea for The Night first came to the table, we wanted a worship event that would use the gifts that God had given us. We wanted it to be youth led and youth run. In planning the first Night, the things that were first and foremost were: that God's will would be done {we wanted The Night to be whatever He wanted it to be, the steering wheel HAD to be in His hands}, and that this would be a non-mediocre, non-cheesy, God-centered, God-glorifying, radically different, our-generation geared event. That first Night was definitely soaked in prayer, and at the end all we could say was *WOW, OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!

In the past year and a half, The Night has become much more than just using the gifts God has given us and celebrating His love for us. The vision for the Night is to bring youth together to experience God's love, worship Him, and deepen their walk; then to propel them out to serve and witness through the way they live. Essentially, some of the specific points of this mission are as follows:

~ Encouraging youth to deepen their relationships with Christ, to *take it to the next level.
~ Sending youth out into their homes, schools, sports teams, youth groups, and communities fueled-up to boldly live their faith.
~ Unifying youth and building them up together. Teaching youth to pray for each other, to come along side each other, and to support each other. To live with purity in thoughts and words, tossing out judgmental mentalities.
~ Bringing youth from different youth groups, backgrounds, churches, and denominations together. Cutting out rivalry, and demonstrating that we are all a part of the body of Christ.
~ Encouraging and providing an opportunity for youth to worship God together, and receive prayer and mentorship.

Getting right down to it, it is simply to:
1. Love the Lord your God with all you've got.
2. Love those around you.
3. And go and make disciples.

The Night is an opportunity for us to shine Christ.
