I just wanted to pass on a little bit of information. I will be taking the gypsy moth egg mass survey application to the extension office sometime over the next month. This application is ONLY for Shannondale/River View Park/John Brown Farm. If you do not own property in these areas I would strongly suggest that you contact the extension office and apply to have your land surveyed. The WVDA will receive the application and survey our property for egg masses in Fall 2009.
We had no acreage that qualified for treatment this year. However we did have caterpillars. On my property the caterpillars are for the most part dead from the fungus. Several others have reported the same.
