Default Found! Orange Cat lost 7/11/09 from Countryside Vet

True to his name (and the movie, Milo and Otis), our Milo coincidentally made his way to a farm across the river from us that just so happens to be my friend and coworker! One day last week at lunch she casually mentioned that an orange cat had begun living in her barn after the snow storm. We joked that it might be my lost cat. The next day I brought his picture to work and she remarked that it looked similar but they would have to catch him to see. Tonight she called and said they had caught him and we should have a look. To our amazement, it is our Milo lost since July! He began to purr as soon as he saw us and we are ecstatic! The thread was closed or I would have updated the original thread. How amazing is that? He traveled several miles to her farm and what are the odds he would end up at a farm owned by my friend?

We are thrilled!! And thank you to those who stopped to look The vet said he seems to be fine but he has definitely seen his share of fights as he has so many bite marks and scars. I just think it is amazing! What are the odds? If he had gone to the house next door instead of to my friend's house we may never have known what happened to him. (We also played the lotto this week)

On another note, I had no idea how many kitties there are wandering around the county. We had so many calls from our ad and posters. I hope someone looks after them all.

WOW, how cool he is back with you. That is an amazing story! Awww he is true to his name too. I love Milo and Otis. Its one of my favorites. My husband thinks I am nuts when I sit and watch it, hehe.

Seriously, though, I am so very happy for you your kitty is back and thanks so much for posting. I thought of you everytime I passed on that exit and tried to keep an eye out. Now I will smile going by :-)

Lightbulb Milo Probably Is Reluctant to Tell His Tale

Milo Probably Is Reluctant to Tell His Tale
But inquiring minds want to know!!. Someone has suggested that we help the adventurer write his story. Perhaps we could hypothesize a bit on a week to week account of his six month ordeal. Anyone want to start off a thread titled-perhaps-Milo's Magnificent Adventure. The original post can be found HERE

E.g., Wow, I'm finally out of that carrier. Holy kitty litter, what can I do with this moment of freedom. I wonder what's over by that great big blue ball on stilts (Add pic of the C.T. water tower). Boy the undergrowth is thick. Well, I think it's time to get back. Hmmm- which way was it?... Meow, is anyone there? Abandoned and lost, oh my. There's a big thing with those four wheels that sounds like the thing in which my peoples brought me. I'll hop in the back where there aren't any doors (insert image of a pickup truck). Whee, we're off and that wind sure ruffles my fur...

...sometime later. The big thing is stopping. I'm hungry and smell some food and some of that nasty liquid folks drink cold. That looks like my people's eating and sleeping place but huge. I think I'll sneak in and track down that odor (insert pic of Diva's Gentlemen's Club)....

Well, it could have happened. Anyway, here's a chance for a collaborative writing effort. Brewsters, can you pinpoint the area in which Milo was found? We could track his progress on the map. Discount my story, we'll spare poor Milo a trip to a den of iniquity.

What a very original idea! He was found on Fry Lane by the river. Poor Milo must have had to fight off who knows what because he has bite marks everywhere. I still can't believe we found him!!

    Talking That Cat Knows Something...

    That Cat Knows Something...
..., you can see it in his eyes. But since he can't accurately key a board or use Human speak, S&B users have got to help get his story in the data base. Let's try to read Milo's mind, fellow users, and start recounting his heroic efforts to survive the big adventure.

I'll see if I can get a map up showing the start and finish of the half year trek. I've told my kitties and they've been looking over my shoulder for further developments. btw, Bunch & Jessiecat think Milo is a Hunk!!!
