First 100 Library Card Holder Contest 7/11/2010

The Mountain Mission Library's "First 100 Patrons" contest brought to a close on Sunday, July 11th, when the number of library cardholders reached the century mark (+ 4). A drawing from the first one hundred names produced several winners. The grand prize, a Johnny Depp stand-up as the Mad Hatter, was on display in front of the library's new signage as the Queen of Hearts looked on. At present, the Mountain's library is open from 11am - 2pm on Sundays and on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm. A childrens story hour is also offered at 10:30am on Wednesday mornings.

The library, located at the corner of Rt9 and Mission road is situated in the historic St. Andrew's Mountain Community Center. The library offers high speed computer terminals and wireless internet access as well as some good old fashioned books, VHS tapes, DVD's and books on tape. Citizens are encouraged to visit the County's newest Public Library.

Our winners included Jailene Rivera, Barbara Carruthers and Alicia Drumgoole. However, no one chose the Mad Hatter or the Queen of Hearts prizes.
