Conservatives believe that the people are sovereign, and that the government is subject to the will of the people. Liberals believe that the government is sovereign, and that the people are subject to the will of the government.
This part is just bizarre:
"Them guys next door that are giving away AK-47. I was shot 14 times by that rifle. It's a hell of a rifle. Kills a lot of people. They've got no business giving those rifles away."
Because the AR-15 or some other rifle only shoots warm fuzzies, I guess?
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams
Just a gimmick, but at least they're also offering the cash value - only $400 - as an alternative. But apparently gimmicks work on some people as the quote indicates:"People are calling us, don't believe it. They want to come in and see it. We have some people that don't believe it. In fact, as I told them, listen; you can do this on your own. You don't need us."
My guess is that you could get 400 bucks off a truck locally... and then just buy a AK for that amount (spending more or less depending on what you really want) and then save your self a long drive.. noting that some of the states you drive through might not like someone riding around with one of them commie guns in a mostly American made truck :-)
I don't see anything saying it's new, but in any case one of the big wins of the AK designs has always been that they are simple to maintain and operate, reliable, and cheap to manufacture. This derives from Mikhail Kalashnikov's experience with Soviet weapons from before WWII, which tended to be none of those three.
He's a fascinating guy -- still alive and kicking at the age of 90.
Not trading up, adding to the collection.
Also, I am not a fan of manufactured pegboard. It's flimsy, and the holes are too small.
I really don't feel like drilling all the holes myself, so I think I may have just thunk me up a solution!
Also, this is Central Florida for ya... My guard and I have this game we play when we're bored, it's called the 'Central Florida Game'.
We get three chances to predict the effed up news stories of Central Florida, and then pop online to see if we were right. The guard cheats though, he almost always includes 'alligator attack with an elderly resident', which is like saying the sky down there is blue.
I once guessed 'home invasion by wild animals'. I won that day...
