    Default The whole enchilada... done.

Made a visit down to mow at the Springs today with a very welcome volunteer, who even came up with the idea to mow this week. We did not run into any illegal tent cities, mounds of trash, or anything else unsavory. We did get the entire area mowed, trails and all. For the fit among us, enjoy!

Thank You. Just think what we could get done if we had 1 person out of 100 doing a service like this right now it is just 1 out of a few thousand. I love the brillo people also.
Wish you would have titled it different, I was hoping to get an enchilada. Mexican my most favorite food.

FOSS has an arrangement with DNR and the Historic Landmarks Commission that allows us to occasionally cart the elderly, handicapped and young back to the ruins. I have to warn you it will probably include a guided tour w/history lesson about the once world renown spa upon arrival.

The offer has been out there each year-some of the trips can be seen on YOUR website:

Of late no one has seemed to be intrigued by the prospect.
If anyone who may not be physically able to get back shows some interest, we can see what can be arranged. I love to talk about our hidden treasure.
Chip, I'd even offer to let you record my "Half-Fast" presentation on tape and video.

Willis is correct. We have authorization from the DNR to use the key for responsible excursions back to the historical area by vehicle for educational/recreational purposes in addition to trips for the maintenance of the grounds. The trail out there is in good enough shape now though so that anyone able to walk a couple of miles should have no problem with it.

The offer still stands. I just need a little advance notice, I expect that shadowplay will like some help , we can explore and I can bore you to death with history. The vehicular trips are about the only way some of our residents will be able to view the hidden treasure trove of history and nature.
