Two huge bags from the bottom of Johnson Hill to the mailboxes past Gate 1. Sadly this area was cleaned only a few weeks ago. I often wonder how these people think when they toss their trash from their cars...I guess they have no pride!

Amongst other things. They seem to know their are people who will clean up after them. I hate the cigarette people who throw their cigs out window because they do not want to use ash tray because, one it makes there car stink worse and they are to lazy to dump at their home, just throw out window.

Thanks. It is really sad how bad that area (a lot of areas) get and so fast.

I think they think only of themselves, and about having a clean car.
Thanks (or should I say bless you) for yet another AHCU :-)

We went for 2 hikes this past weekend and picked up around 8 grocery size bags on the trails in Shenandoah Springs wildlife area. Not to mention all the dead deer dumped at the parking area. We seriously lneed to find out about installing cameras at a few locations to try and catch these people. Otherwise this will never end.
Don't even get me started on the whole bag of trash that is strewn all over Rt 9. Its just too dangerous to pick that stuff up so I guess we have to wait until the inmates do it in the spring.

I think Apple Valley waste is to blame for some of the problem. They ride around with the truck doors open and stuff flies out. I have seen the guy pick up my recycling, throw it in one door and half the cans go out the open door on the other side and he just continues on! - Poppa
Did you see the post by Bigtom last fall offering to help collect money for cameras? He spoke to Ken White who is willing to do this, but nobody (besides me) responded positively to his idea.
Is anyone (enough anyones) willing to try to get this going? I'll contact BigTom if people seem interested.
We were in the process of working with Ken on getting the cameras when he had to take time off work due to a serious family issue. In discussing with Ken and the Sheriff new cameras will need to be purchased since the old cameras are not longer working. I'll try to call Ken's office next week and see if he has returned to work. Heaven only knows we certainly need cameras and hopefully the county or state will purchase them. In our previous discussions we need a few good men/women to help get things moving and if BigTom is willing to head things up that would be great. We will be glad to help.
Count us in....monetarily and helpwise
I'll be glad to help too. But forget the idea of cheap trail cameras. Deer may not steal one of those, but if they're placed close enough to identify people they will be stolen. And they have to be since they depend on IR to trigger.
