    Unhappy Mountain Resident Hundley Struck by Truck

    Pedestrian struck by tractor-trailer airlifted
    By Matt Armstrong - Journal Staff Writer
    CHARLES TOWN - A Blue Ridge Mountain resident was flown to a Baltimore hospital with serious injuries after coming into contact with a tractor-trailer while crossing U.S. 340 late Tuesday morning, according to the Charles Town Police Department...


    ...Scott Michael Hundley, an 18-year-old resident of Jeep Trail, Harpers Ferry, was crossing U.S. 340 when he made contact with a tractor-trailer, according to a CTPD news release from Sgt. W.M. Spessert.


    "Preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was crossing U.S. Rt. 340 from Jefferson Terrace Road. As Hundley was crossing U.S. Rt. 340, Hundley struck the side of a tractor trailer traveling northbound," the release stated....

    I hope he's OK. I drove by moments after this happened. Some folks were tending to the victim, had him covered in blankets or something out in the middle of the intersection. I kept hoping it was an animal. When I saw the ambulance coming, I knew it was not.
