Yeah - that is what I thought too.

No doubt. It's getting difficult to pick out the real crimes from people busted for a roach in their ashtray. But then a lot of these, such as "six counts of delivery of a controlled substance" are probably people giving their legal meds to other people. I guess we'll never know.

One of the drugs of choice around here these days are "pills", pills weren't the thing when I was growing up and I am really out of the loop about the whole "pill" thing but it is extremely addictive. I never thought I would sound so dumb about this type of stuff because I am kind of a hip person but I guess I'm losing my hipness.

Shut down the pharmacies that do not have electronic registration, and you shut down a big part of the problem.
    - Anyone filling the same script at multiple locations is a dealer.

Any doctor that provides multiple scripts for the same drug to a single person should also be treated like a dealer.

It seems like the problem is at the forefront especially due to all the celebrity deaths but they are not making any progress on it fast from what I can see. It starts at the Doctors for sure, start putting the hammer down on them, big time!

From today's NYT's, this seems like a fitting question to post/ask from within this topic.
    - I say Amanda is responsible and should be held accountable for the death of her child.
    - Otherwise it would seem to be a way to legalize late term abortions (a topic I never thought I create a post on).

Yes, I understand that addiction is a powerful problem... however it is one of self indulegance and I do not think that it should work as an excuse against accountablity. My 3 cents on a very touchy topic.
