FWIW, I understand men can lactate also.
That's interesting. I think you have a misunderstanding of my opinions. Just because I believe safety nets should be available - considering how little they cost - doesn't mean I would raise a child to flock to them. As I have said before, I'm very liberal when it comes to national politics, but more conservative when it comes to local politics, and very conservative when it comes to my household.
I don't think welfare is really ever 'the goal'. Just because nanuk heard a girl say that once doesn't mean it's applicable to anything near the majority. I don't even know what that is about, but I do know that folks who talk like that haven't taken inventory of their character in quite some time.
Why does mama's boy have to be mocked and ridiculed by their peers? Perhaps tackling that problem on that end is the better way to go, right? What's the best approach? How about changing the world so it's not so hostile and cruel to those with noticeable differences instead of attempting to issue standard guidelines for raising your children? So, to answer Willis' original question of "Attachment parenting What do you think?" I think it's disgusting, irresponsible and socially reprehensible in that these children, and this one in particular, are going to grow older and be mocked and ridiculed by their peers and I fear that this could present more serious long term psychological affect. I also think that I really miss Nanuk because he would have spot on insight and opinion into this matter...
And yes, this may present more serious long term psychological affects.
