Default Would anyone like some plums?

Our plum tree is producing lots of plums this year, and they are ripening now and ready to pick. This year seems to be a bumper crop. They are a small plum, and very tasty. Please let me know if you'd like some. Thanks.

From the "not actually a smartass question" department: What exactly does one do with plums? Bake them into a pie? Do they really keep you regular?

Well, they could be baked into a pie, and they would probably help keep you regular, like any fruit. They are good to eat right from the tree. I make preserves out of them, using the recipe in the Sure-Jell box. They also make good wine, although I haven't made any myself.

Stratus- If you have a surplus after spatulagirl gets hers I would love to pick some up to make plum wine...

If you still have too many, my girls and I would LOVE to come and pick! We love to just eat and to make jam.

I would be happy to take some off your hands, but only if you have enough for yourselves and the others who already responded. I planted a few plum trees of our own, however this is only the first growing season for ours.

Plums are ripening quickly in this weather, and are dropping to the ground, so those who wanted them should be planning to get them really soon, the sooner the better. After today, it will be first come, first serve. We have another plum tree, which probably will be ripening in a week or so. Chupula, I'm sending you a pm.
