KEARNEYSVILLE - Indicted Jefferson County Sheriff Robert "Bobby" Shirley said there's two sides to every story and he looks forward to his day in court during the department's monthly public meeting Thursday...


...Shirley hosts public meetings every month at the sheriff's department to address public concerns and questions. There was little talk of the federal charges Shirley is facing for much of the nearly two-hour meeting, which was attended by several members of the public who appeared supportive of the sheriff. The sheriff made brief comments near the end of the meeting when one person in the audience asked him how he is doing.


"There's two sides to the story and there's a whole lot more to the story. I look forward to my day in court for the truth to get out instead of everybody's opinion," Shirley said....
