Default Trashing the S'dale Springs Boat Ramp

Ah, those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer. Hot weather seems to bring out the morons and sociopaths. Sadly, no one trashed the place in front of the Conservation Officers. I certainly would have had a good photo op

I propose a quick trip to the ramp on Monday Morning to collect the crap visitors have so thoughtfully left.
I'll be down there with bags around 10AM. It should be cooler then.

I noted a LOT of WV tags among the out-of-state plates. Seems some of our neighbors may be crapping (in some cases, literally) in ours and their 'hood.

I picked up a back pack full of trash the last time we took the dog swimming. That was not even in the parking lot but 300 yards up along side the river. I also noticed that there are a lot of people that choose to park their car in front of the gate or on the boat ramp while they are swimming. That 100 foot walk from the parking lot to the river must be a real killer when you are going swimming.

I'm still planning on going down to the ramp's parking lot around 10AM today. It certainly is a tad cooler. I'll have orange bags and gloves if anyone wants to help. I haven't looked since Saturday PM. Maybe all the trash and garbage has been cleaned up by conscientious visitors I'll be sure to take a few pics for your enjoyment

I'm guessing DNR just had a truck down there to check for folks fishing without licenses, or floating without floatation devices. Sadly they do not seem interested in hauling litter bugs away in it (shirley the truck bed makes a great place to get your rights delivered to you :-)... and yes, lots of pun intended.

    Gross Trashman's Report

I took some time to bag up the crap that sh*t-heads so thoughtfully left. The fourth of July holiday is a great one for rotting and and festering crab bits and chicken parts. Also watermelon rinds covered with thousands of yellow-jackets were a REAL treat, too. Note to knuckleheads: if you insist on trashing the neighborhood, at least throw chicken bones, crab shells, watermelon rinds and other nasty stuff back into the woods. The critters will appreciate them.

I did NOT travel back the trail toward the Springs or along the river toward the Flynn property. I'm sure folks have been generous there too. If someone wants to tackle those areas, I have bags and gloves available. One bright spot: I didn't find the usual evidence of anyone taking a dump at the edge of the parking lot

I want to thank Scott Bearup for his help in hauling the nasty bags out to Mission Rd.
I'm sure he'll be riding around with an air freshener hanging form the mirror for some time.

If its all from the springs, talk to Willis/BRILLO and work something out with DNR as they will come pick it up.
    - Or at least they did it for us once when we could not help on the clean up day, but went to the springs early as it was in real need that year.

Lets do a pick-up. (I filled garbage bag this weekend with my son. Still more garbage there.) I will get the guys together.

We just passed through there today and it wasn't bad. Someone must have picked it up recently.

I was down there today and the lot area is pretty cleared up. There is a tree blocking access by the river road for vehicles, which I may try and remove this Sat. There is a fair amount of litter, and a good bit of tree debris from the late June storm along the road past the gate. It would be more like late morning, if anyone else has a saw to bring, desire to pick up litter, etc.

I was there doing some fishing on Friday evening. It looked pretty nice down there. Good job to whoever did the hard work.
If you do not know if I am joking or just being an asshole. Assume both.
