HEDGESVILLE - Using music, artists and activism, organizers of the second annual Stop the Kaboom Festival hoped to raise awareness and support this weekend for their cause to ban hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, in Morgan County and to stop mountaintop removal mining in southern West Virginia.

The three-day festival began Friday in Morgan County and wrapped up Sunday evening.
