So when is the next stoning going to be?

FWIW I think the LGBT community and those who are expressing outrage over Chick-Fil-A's support of Christian beliefs are missing a major opportunity. Instead of getting upset over someone else's opposing beliefs why not open up a competing LGBT Friendly restaurant that specializes in gourmet hotdogs and call it HotDoggyStyle? I can almost envision their first commercial now. "At HotDoggyStyle we love weiners almost as much as you do." And just to make sure that they don't discriminate within the that particular community they could have Pink Fish Taco Thursdays (with proceeds going to support Breast Cancer) and Fried Clam Fridays. And what would they serve for dessert you ask???? Rainbow Sherbet.
"BRIAN, Close the window! You're letting all the Stank out...." "Ahh, ahh, ahh and boom goes the dynamite."

I wish I could find the list I recently came across of many, many, many companies that funnel money to charities, mostly Christian charities, that oppose homosexuality. It was quite a surprising list. I imagine many of you shop at these places or purchase their products. Chick-Fil-A seems to be the most vocal right now.

Putting aside the specific issue, when did this country become one where expressing your personal opinion or beliefs will get you nothing but backlash from the world. This is a free country and we should all be able to express our opinion or beliefs with all the fallout that seems to occur. Its a sad state of affairs.

Chutney, i think it is rather rude and arrogant that you "fixed" my words and thoughts. Is that something that you do in the way you get your point across? Change MY thoughts and words. How dare you. You do NOT have a right to tell me what i think, believe or say.

I agree but that is the way liberals are they can say anything they want and scream first admendment. You would think they would boycot all gas stations because the stuff comes from Arab/Muslim nations these people are huge against homosexuals.
The CEO of Chick-fil-A was just voicing his convictions, just like the homosexuals do.
Is it just a one way road? Is it only certain groups who have free speech?
Let's all go to Chick-Fil-A day August 1st.

Ok, so if those word changes matter so much that for you it changes the meaning of what you said, then how can it be argued that the word changes in the bible have not changed its meaning throughout the ages?
Changes have been made to the language numerous times beginning with the original translations from Greek (Or other language) to Latin, to English, to the King James version (which was rewritten based on a huge conflab of church leaders), v to the modern version, to the easy read versions etc, etc,
I've often heard the same argument used by liberals when discussing the Constitution and their defense is usually that the meaning is in the spirit of the document. I believe the same can be applied here to both the written word in the holy book(s) as well in what FaithWalk typed above. What Chutney did was bastardize her words much in the same way that you are suggesting has happened to the bible over thousands of years.

Remember.... once you put text out into a public place like this, anyone is free to change it, save it or pass it along to someone else.
- Likewise, anything typed can be read to mean something completely different then what you really meant to say, by any number of folks in any number of different configurations. 1+1 does = 10 in binary (or base 2 instead of ten like most folks are used to working in)!
I am not saying what was done was right, however the moderators and owners can clearly do what ever they want to here as they own the control knobs. Thankfully in this case they did it in a fashion that shows what was done.
Well, I am rude. As rude as a person in a 'sodomy based marriage' can be. We're devilishly evil, and since we are going to destroy this country,
my little post shouldn't be of such surprise.
If you got to know me better, you would know how irresponsible I think people who justify THEIR beliefs with the Bible are. "I'm just following scripture" is how us men kept women from voting for so long, you know... That was so great when women didn't have any rights, so Godly and barefoot. We also effed over the Indians using God and man-made scripture as well. Isn't that EXCITING?!? Yay for the personal responsibility-eliminating powers of SCRIPTURE!!!

No, what Chutney did was change two words to make her responsible for her beliefs. And you see how passionately she objected. Not so much to what the context said after I changed it, but how I had NO RIGHT to and how dare I! THE NERVE!
See, it's easy to hold beliefs when you've got someone or something else to blame them on. It's much harder to be personally responsible for your beliefs, which is why many many people blame God and Jesus for everything they can. The funny thing is that folks think that shirking of responsibility actually works. "I'm not an oppressive a-hole, God is, and I'm doing what other people tell me he told me to do! I'm not responsible for my behavior, actions, or opinions!"
How handy.

This is how I feel. Do I agree with Chick-Fil-A? No, absolutely not, but I'm not going to raise hell over it. It is their right to support or not support the organizations of their choice. Just as it is their customers' choices to discontinue supporting their business if they choose to do so.
Good Tony they are huge against Homosexuals? They behead them hence their way to "solve" the Gay issue

Also, LFE is seriously failing in this thread:
WARNING: DO NOT watch this where your children can see or hear it. NSFW.
FYI: "Let me fix that for you" has been an internet meme for a while now and is usually meant to be humorous. Post a picture of virtually anything these days and a dozen people will "fix it for you" in sometimes hilarious ways. Rarely is it meant to be taken seriously.
And Neo "Good Tony" (is that suppose to imply I'm less than 'good'?) - very little of the gasoline the US puts in their cars comes from Arab nations any longer.
