    Default Perseids forecast cloudy (again)

The annual Perseids meteor shower peaking this Saturday night 8/11/12 looks to be a dud again this year with clouds predicted over most of the east.

"Jolly" and I laid out in the driveway last night and got to see quite a few. They seemed so much closer/bigger then the ones from previous Perseids showers. It was pretty fabulous

I got up around 3am and there was a hole in the cloud cover. I watched for about 5 min and only saw one, so I went back to bed.

Nothing here, but then we don't have a lot of open sky to start with.

We got to see a couple more last night. We weren't as patient though, and were out much earlier...but, it appeased the kids so it was a success.
The November one is MUCH better...just, colder.
